Tournaments

Jordan Ball

Hendrix Experience (February 11-12: Conway, AR)

Hendrix Experience is the first tournament of the year. This tournament hosted by Hendrix University typically has a field of teams primarily made up of teams from the Ozark section. This is a good chance for Mizzou Ultimate to see how it stacks up against other teams from the section and will show what improvements need to be made.

Mardi Gras (February 25-26: Baton Rouge, LA)

Mardi Gras is a very competitive tournament, hosted by LSU in Baton Rouge, that has a very large collection of teams from all of the Southern Region's sections, Ozark, Bama, and Texas, as well as the best teams from the Great Lakes Region. This proves to be a great measuring stick of where Mizzou Ultimate stands on the national scene, seeing as many of the top teams in the country will be there.

Frostbite (March 4-5: Springfield, MO)

Frostbite is another good tournament within the Ozark Section. This college tournament is hosted by Missouri State Ultimate in Springfield, MO. This tournament will once again be a measuring stick of how the MUtants match up with other teams in the Section after playing some of the nation's elite. This tournament will also play a big part in determining seeding for the Ozark sectionals, considering most of the teams will be there.

Frostbite Results

College Terminus (March 11-12: Atlanta, GA)

This tournament hosted in Atlanta is one of the very top college tournaments of the year. Much like Mardi Gras many of the country's best college ultimate programs will be there to engage in this highly competitive tournament. This will be the only tournament of the year in which Mizzou's team will play many of the very strong teams from the Southeast region.

Huck Finn (March 25-26: St. Louis, MO)

Huck Finn is a solid tournament hosted by Washington University's Ultimate team in St. Louis. Being four weeks before sectionals, this tournament will mark the beginning of our final preparations for college sectionals. This is an important tournament to finalize what members of the club will be playing for both the A-team and the Developemental team for Fool's Fest and Sectionals.

Fool's Fest (April 1-2, Lawrence, KS)

Fool's Fest is hosted by Kansas's Ultimate team in Lawrenece. This tournament is the very last tournament of the year before the hunt for regionals and nationals, so the list of teams is long and strong. Again a final chance to show off where the Mizzou program fits in on the national scene, but more importantly this will shape how the MUtants perform at sectionals. With both the A-team and B-team's rosters set for sectionals, it will officially be time to step up and perform as teams.

College Sectionals (April 8-9, Fayetteville, AR)

Sectionals marks the very beginning of the national title run. This is by far the most important weekend of the year for the Mizzou Ultimate team. All of the work put in at practices and tournaments throughout the spring and fall is specifically for this one weekend. Seeding going into the tournament will be based on our performance in tournaments throughout the course of the spring, especially in games in which we play opponents form the Ozark Section. Top seven teams advance to the South Regional tournament.
